H\u00e4ufig werden sie beil\u00e4ufig wahrgenommen, oftmals \u00fcbersehen. Sie erz\u00e4hlen Geschichten: sei es der Abdruck eines Schaufelstiels in losem Sand, Spuren eines Baggers oder kollossale Erdmassen auf Abraumhalden, allesamt zeugen sie von der Abwesenheit eines vormals Anwesenden oder von kosmischen Bewegungen. Seit Kindertagen fasziniert von dem Naturmaterial Erde, schafft der in Istanbul lebende K\u00fcnstler Jochen Proehl Werke, deren Ausgangspunkt jene Erdspuren und Formen sind, denen wir im Alltag begegnen. \u201eBereits als Kind und Jugendlicher, also lange bevor klar war, dass ich einmal Maler sein w\u00fcrde, habe ich mit meiner Plastikkamera aufgerissene Erde auf Baustellen fotografiert. Dem Material Erde und seinen Formen wohnt etwas inne, das mich bereits damals, ganz unbewusst, bewegt und gefesselt hat und dem ich nun mit Bildern Namen gebe\u201c. In abstrakten Gem\u00e4lden und einer ihm eigenen Formensprache zeigt Jochen Proehl Erdstrukturen, &#8222;Imagin\u00e4re Landschaften&#8220;, die f\u00fcr den K\u00fcnstler eine allegorische Kraft und Allgemeing\u00fcltigkeit besitzen.
