K\u00fcnstlerische Variationen der technischen Fehlerhaftigkeit &#8211; aber nicht im Sinn eines nachtr\u00e4glich \u00fcber das Bild gelegten Filter oder Effektes, sondern organisch verwobenes Zustandekommen von Bildeigenschaften, die beim Anschauen herausfordern: Vertr\u00e4umtheit und Entfremdung sind sich nahe, die \u00c4sthetik im Zwischenraum wird in einer absurden Spannung geboren: Wir strengen uns ununterbrochen an, besser, klarer, sch\u00e4rfer zu sehen, w\u00e4hrend das Gegebene um uns (aus \u00dcberanstrengung?) immer mehr verschwimmt. Im Fall von \u201eWalking Distance\u201c kommt zu den Artefakten der digitalen Fotografie noch eine analoge Herausforderung, ein Plastikobjektiv von billigster Qualit\u00e4t vor der Kamera ist erst der Schl\u00fcssel zu einer Welt menschenleerer Gro\u00dfstadtarchitektur in Tokio, wo es zu Fu\u00df doch bis an die Grenze des Traumhaften geht.
