April 2016 fand die Antrittsvorlesung des Fashion &amp; Technology-Leitungsteams Prof. Ute Ploier und Prof. Christiane Luible-B\u00e4r, in der Tabakfabrik Linz statt. Im Mittelpunkt stand das traditionelle System der Mode, welches in einer tiefen Krise steckt. Denn Mode wird immer st\u00e4rker zum Wegwerfprodukt und unter unmensch-lichen Arbeitsbedingungen hergestellt. Die Produktionszyklen \u00fcberholen dabei sich selbst und eine immer raschere Entwertung von Konzept und Produkt sind die Folge. Auch eine Zukunftsvision von Mode in Verbindung mit Technologie wirft rasch Fragen nach Privatsph\u00e4re, K\u00f6rperoptimierungen oder \u00d6kologie auf. Aber sie birgt auch die M\u00f6glichkeit zur Ver\u00e4nderung. Das Studium Fashion &amp; Technology begreift Technologie als Katalysator f\u00fcr innovative und nachhaltige Designl\u00f6sungen und alternative \u00e4sthetische Konzepte im Zeichen der Toleranz. Die Art wie Mode gedacht, produziert und wahrgenommen wird, ist dabei sich zu ver\u00e4ndern und es entsteht Potenzial f\u00fcr einen nachhaltigen Systemumbruch.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Seit dem Wintersemester 2015 bietet die Kunstuniversit\u00e4t Linz das neue Bachelorstudium Fashion &amp; Technology, mit Studienstandort in der Tabakfabrik Linz an. Das Studium ist eine Ausbildung f\u00fcr zeitgen\u00f6ssisches Modedesign mit Schwerpunkt auf Innovation und Technologie. Dabei arbeiten Studierende mit traditionellen, handwerklichen Techniken, genauso wie mit neuen Entwicklungen aus dem High-Tech-Bereich wie 3D-Print, Lasercut oder Digitaldruck. Intelligente Textilien und Wearables sowie soziale Verantwortung und Nachhaltigkeit im Produktionsprozess sind wichtige Themen des Studienprogramms. Christiane Luible-B\u00e4rs Interesse gilt der virtuellen 3D-Simulation von Mode und dem Einfluss digitaler Medien auf Modedesign. Christiane Luible-B\u00e4r war schon immer von Kleidung und Technologie fasziniert. Nach dem Abschluss einer Lehre als Damenschneiderin bei einem Theater, studierte sie Mode an der Hochschule Pforzheim und am F.I.T. in New York und schloss ihre Ausbildung mit Auszeichnung ab. Ihr Interesse an Technologie veranlasste sie, als ihre Diplomarbeit im Jahr 2000 eine erste virtuelle Modeschau \u2013 [extended body] \u2013 zu organisieren. Dieses Projekt zog gro\u00dfe Aufmerksamkeit auf sich und wurde mit dem Lucky Strike Junior Design Award ausgezeichnet. Ute Ploier betreibt seit 2003 erfolgreich ihr Label \u201eUte Ploier\u201c und zeigt zweimal j\u00e4hrlich ihre Kollektionen bei den Pr\u00eat-\u00e0-porter Shows in Paris. Das Label Ute Ploier wird nur in ausgew\u00e4hlten Boutiquen in Europa, USA und Asien verkauft. Ute Ploiers Kollektionen wurden bereits mit zahlreichen Preisen, wie dem Prix Homme beim international bekannten Festival des arts de la mode, dem Modepreis der Stadt Wien oder dem Unit-F Preis f\u00fcr internationale Presse ausgezeichnet. 2007 wurde Ute Ploier als Finalistin f\u00fcr den bedeutendsten europ\u00e4ischen Modepreis, den Swiss Textile Award, von einer hochkar\u00e4tigen internationalen Jury nominiert.
