Jahrhunderts. Das verlockend erotische Weib und die Schlange als biblische Inkarnation der S\u00fcnde fixieren respektlos den Beobachter, ertappen und fordern ihn als Voyeur. Die Distanzlosigkeit, die Stuck nicht nur in dieser Bilderfindung anwendete, verschaffte ihm schon fr\u00fch Bekanntheit als \u201eSkandalmaler\u201c. Stucks umfassende Ausstellung im Wiener K\u00fcnstlerhaus 1892 glich einem k\u00fcnstlerischen Paukenschlag, ablesbar an den zeitgen\u00f6ssischen meinungsbildenden Artikeln von Hugo von Hofmannsthal und Hermann Bahr. Stuck hatte das Erscheinungsbild der 1892 gegr\u00fcndeten M\u00fcnchener Secession entscheidend gepr\u00e4gt und war damit auch ein Vorbild f\u00fcr die Wiener Secession. Ein Jahr j\u00fcnger als Gustav Klimt, war er ein \u201eShooting Star\u201c der Zeit, dessen Ruhm auch auf seinen engen Beziehungen nach Wien gr\u00fcndete. Mit den in Wien bei Gerlach &amp; Schenk ab 1882 verlegten Mappen Allegorien und Embleme \u2013 zu denen auch Klimt Entw\u00fcrfe lieferte \u2013 und seinem grafischem Hauptwerk, den 1886 erschienenen Karten &amp; Vignetten, erlangte Stuck internationale Anerkennung. Die Ausstellung bietet die M\u00f6glichkeit, Franz von Stucks grafisches, malerisches und plastisches Werk sowie die von ihm verwendete Fotografie ganzheitlich und ineinander verschr\u00e4nkt ebenso wie in ihrer vielf\u00e4ltigen Wirkung auf die Wiener Kunst zu betrachten.
