Zarte Rahmungen der Farbfl\u00e4chen erzeugen einen b\u00fchnenhaften Raum innerhalb des sonst gegenstandslosen Bildes. Die B\u00fchnenhaftigkeit und Raumtiefe wich mit der Zeit einer fl\u00e4chigeren Malweise, die an die zarte Faltung seidener T\u00fccher erinnert. Diese Reduktion f\u00fchrte er so lange weiter, bis jeder r\u00e4umliche Anhaltspunkt in seinen Bildern verschwindet. Goessls Empfindsamkeit zeigt sich in einem schleierartig wirkenden Farbauftrag und den feinen Helligkeitsabstufungen in den Bildern. Anfang der 1970er-Jahre wird auch Monsignore Otto Mauer von der Galerie n\u00e4chst St. Stephan auf den Einzelg\u00e4nger aufmerksam und veranstaltet mit diesem 1973 eine Ausstellung.
