Seit heute, 1. Februar 2017, steht die digitale Sammlungsdatenbank des MAK (MAK-Sammlung online, sammlung.mak.at) der \u00d6ffentlichkeit mit v\u00f6llig neu konzi-pierten Rechercheoptionen zur Verf\u00fcgung. Stammdaten und Bildinformationen zu 230 000 Objekten der MAK-Sammlungsbereiche Asien, Design, Gegenwartskunst, Glas und Keramik, M\u00f6bel und Holzarbeiten, Metall und Wiener-Werkst\u00e4tte-Archiv, Textilien und Teppiche sowie der MAK-Bibliothek und Kunstbl\u00e4ttersammlung sind mittlerweile sowohl f\u00fcr private als auch f\u00fcr wissenschaftliche Recherchezwecke online abrufbar. In weiteren 70 000 Eintr\u00e4gen werden zus\u00e4tzliche Informationen zu beteiligten K\u00fcnstlerInnen und ausf\u00fchrenden Firmen geboten. Ende 2012 wurde das MAK vom Bundeskanzleramt mit dem Aufbau einer zentralen Bilddaten-bank\/Collection and Museum Management System (C\/MMS) der MAK-Sammlung beauftragt. Die im vergangenen Jahr vorgenommene Neugestaltung der MAK-Sammlung online konzentrierte sich auf optimierte Suchfunktionen und eine verbesserte Darstellung des Bildmaterials. Es ist nun erstmals m\u00f6glich, Objektlisten zu erstellen und zu sichern sowie Anfragen zur Reproduktion von Bildmaterial direkt online an die Reproabteilung des Museums zu richten. Eine weitere Besonderheit der neuen MAK-Sammlung online ist ihre Mehrsprach-igkeit. Der Gro\u00dfteil der Informationen zu den einzelnen Objekten ist auch auf Englisch verf\u00fcg-bar. Der umfassend bearbeitete Bestand an japanischen Farbholzschnitten ist auch in japan-ischer Sprache zug\u00e4nglich. Die MAK-Sammlung online wird kontinuierlich erweitert und aktualisiert. Langfristiges Ziel ist es, den Sammlungsbestand des MAK, der nur in Teilen im Museum ausgestellt werden kann, in seiner Gesamtheit im World Wide Web zug\u00e4nglich zu machen.<\/p>\n<h6
