Mai 2017. Emilio Vedovas Gro\u00dfformat \u201eTensione\u201c (dt. \u201eSpannung\u201c) erreichte mit 792.500 Euro mehr als das F\u00fcnffache des Sch\u00e4tzwertes und damit auch den Weltrekordpreis f\u00fcr ein Werk des italienischen Hauptvertreters der informellen Kunst. \u00a0Das 1959 datierte, museale Bild stammt aus der Bl\u00fctezeit dieser \u201eformlosen\u201c, antigeometrischen, antinaturalistischen Kunst. Besonders der Auktionsschwerpunkt \u201eArt Informel\u201c erfreute sich insgesamt gro\u00dfer Nachfrage. Das pastose Bild \u201eKomposition\u201c von Nicolas de Stael aus 1950 erzielte 405.600 Euro, \u201eVegetaux\u201c (1957) von Jean Fautrier 295.800 Euro. Unter den weiteren H\u00f6chstpreisen der Auktion: 515.400 Euro f\u00fcr Josef Albers \u201cStudy for Homage to the Square: Earthen I\u201d (1955), 283.600 Euro f\u00fcr Lucio Fontanas Keramikskulptur \u201cCrocifisso\u201c oder 344.600 Euro f\u00fcr Sigmar Polkes unbetitelte Papierarbeit von 1998. Spitzenpreise bei der \u00f6sterreichischen Kunst erreichten u. a. Arbeiten von Erwin Wurm, Otto Muehl und Maria Lassnig.
