Nach Kompositionsauftr\u00e4gen f\u00fcr B\u00fchnenst\u00fccke, Streichquartette, und Orchester wurde er im Jahr 2009 vom Wiener Musiklabel Fabrique Records eingeladen gemeinsam mit dem Soundk\u00fcnstler Thomas P\u00f6tz alias Kava das elektronische Konzeptalbum \u201dSeven Echoes\u201c zu produzieren, das im Jahr 2010 ver\u00f6ffentlicht und im selben Jahr erstmals live im museum gugging pr\u00e4sentiert wurde. Im Rahmen des Festivals &#8222;Gugginger Irritationen&#8220; traf Christopher James Chaplin dabei auch erstmals auf den Elektronikmusik-Pionier Hans-Joachim Roedelius, der ihn in Folge zu einer gemeinsamen Live-Session f\u00fcr den britischen Radiosender BBC Radio 3 einlud. Aus dieser Zusammenarbeit entstand mit \u201dKing Of Hearts\u201c ein gemeinsames Album, das die beiden in den darauffolgenden Jahren auf Musik- und Kunstfestivals rund um den Globus live vorstellten und damit f\u00fcr Begeisterung sorgten.Im Herbst letzten Jahres ver\u00f6ffentlichte Christopher Chaplin mit \u201dJe suis le T\u00e9n\u00e9breux\u201c schlie\u00dflich sein lang erwartetes und vielgelobtes Solo-Deb\u00fctwerk, das unter anderem im Studio der legend\u00e4ren franz\u00f6sischen Band Air und in diversen Studios in England entstanden ist. Experimentelle musikalische Einfl\u00fcsse treffen hier auf einen geheimnisvollen Text aus dem 16. Jahrhundert und festigen Christopher Chaplins Ruf als Ausnahmek\u00fcnstler an der Schnittstelle der Avantgarde und Elektronikmusik. F\u00fcr sein kommendes Konzert am 8. Oktober 2017 hat sich Christopher Chaplin etwas Besonderes vorgenommen &#8211; er pr\u00e4sentiert v\u00f6llig neues Material im Rahmen eines elektronischen Solo-Sets live in der galerie gugging und wird dabei visuell von den Videok\u00fcnstlern Luma.Launisch unterst\u00fctzt. Ein kurzer Auszug aus Christopher Chaplins Performance war bereits im Fr\u00fchjahr bei seinem gefeierten Soloauftritt im ORF Radiokulturhaus zu h\u00f6ren.
