Dies ist ein weiterer Schritt der seit \u00fcber einer Dekade stark vorangetriebenen Internationalisierung des Dorotheum im Bereich zeitgen\u00f6ssischer Kunst\u201c, so Martin B\u00f6hm, gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrender Gesellschafter des Dorotheum. Unter dem Titel \u201eColour Space Paintings and Outdoor Sculptures\u201c zeigt Kunst-Star Damien Hirst seine Werke zum ersten Mal im Setting eines der bedeutendsten englischen historischen H\u00e4user. Diese Malereien wurden bis dato nicht \u00f6ffentlich ausgestellt. Sie sind eine Weiterentwicklung der ber\u00fchmten Spot Paintings, neben den Spin Paintings und den in Formaldehyd konservierten Tieren Hirsts dritte signifikante Werkgruppe. Kurator der Ausstellung ist Mario Codognato. Houghton Hall gilt als eines der besten Beispiele palladianischer Architektur in England und wurde ab 1720 erbaut unter Sir Robert Walpole, dem ersten Premierminister Gro\u00dfbritanniens. Walpole besa\u00df eine erstklassige Altmeister-Sammlung, deren Hauptteil heute den Grundstock der Eremitage in St. Petersburg bildet. Houghton Halls Besitzer David Cholmondeley, der 7. Marquess of Cholmondeley, ein direkter Nachkomme von Sir Robert Walpole, setzt die lange Sammeltradition seiner Familie fort und beauftragte u. a. James Turrell, Richard Long, Jeppe Hein oder Rachel Whiteread mit ortsspezifischen Arbeiten. [Dauer bis bis 15.
