Geburtstags widmet das MAK dem \u00f6sterreichischen Architekten Gustav Peichl (geboren am 18. M\u00e4rz 1928 in Wien) die Personale GUSTAV PEICHL. 15 Bauten zum 90sten. In seinem \u00fcber 50-j\u00e4hrigen Schaffen konnte Peichl, der unter dem Pseudonym IRONIMUS h\u00f6chst erfolgreich auch als politischer Karikaturist t\u00e4tig war, 70 Bauten realisieren. F\u00fcr die Schau im MAK w\u00e4hlte er 15 Bauten aus, die exemplarisch Einblick in sein um- fangreiches Lebenswerk geben. Die Geb\u00e4ude werden exklusiv f\u00fcr das MAK von der deutschen K\u00fcnstlerin Pola Sieverding in ihrem heutigen, aktuellen Zustand fotografiert und mit Skizzen, Entw\u00fcrfen und Pl\u00e4nen aus der MAK-Sammlung kontextualisiert. Peichl schenkte dem MAK 2013 einen umfassenden Bestand von \u00fcber 8 000 Skizzen, Kon- zepten, Entwurfszeichnungen und Pl\u00e4nen f\u00fcr seine in \u00d6sterreich realisierten Bauten. Darunter befinden sich auch \u00f6ffentliche Bauauftr\u00e4ge, st\u00e4dtebauliche Planungen, soziale Wohnbau- ten und repr\u00e4sentative Einfamilienh\u00e4user sowie nicht realisierte Projekte. Die MAK- Bibliothek und Kunstbl\u00e4tters-ammlung verwahrt zahlreiche Konvolute und Teil-Nachl\u00e4sse namhafter ArchitektInnen, unter anderem auch von Edmund Moiret, Josef Hoffmann, Otto Niedermoser, Otto Prutscher und Anna-L\u00fclja Praun. Zeitgen\u00f6ssische Positionen kamen mit dem Nachlass von Hans Hollein und Vorlass von Gustav Peichl in die Sammlung. Im digitalen Zeitalter, in dem meist am Computer geplant wird, postuliert Peichl das Skizzie- ren als Nachdenken auf dem Papier. F\u00fcr ihn sind Bauen und Architektur die Summe aus Form, Funktion, Material, Farbe und Licht. Es gilt nach einer sinnlichen Architektur zu streben, nach einer Architektur unter Bezugnahme auf Eros. Als Vertreter der klassischen Moderne verfolgt Peichl technische \u00c4sthetik, klassische Proportionen, Witz und Sinnlichkeit \u2013 und damit eine unverkennbare, eigenst\u00e4ndige Linie.[Ausstellungs-dauer bis 19.
