Oktober 2018)<\/span><\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Es ist eine Sensation: Eines der extrem seltenen und begehrten Gem\u00e4lde der italienischen Barockmalerin Artemisia Gentileschi, \u201eLucretia\u201c, offeriert das Dorotheum in seiner Auktionswoche im Oktober (23. bis 25. 10. 2018). Das zwischen 500.000 und 700.000 Euro taxierte Bild befand sich seit Mitte des 19. Jahrhunderts in ein und derselben Privatsammlung und gelangt nun zum ersten Mal in seiner Geschichte in eine Auktion. \u201eLucretia\u201c zeigt den Moment, bevor sich die r\u00f6mische Aristokratin nach der Vergewaltigung durch Tarquinius erdolcht. Diese Geschichte aus dem 6. Jahrhundert v. Chr. geh\u00f6rt zum Gr\u00fcndungsmythos Roms. Lucretia gilt als Beispiel f\u00fcr Tugendhaftigkeit.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Alte Meisterin: Artemisia Gentileschi, eine der \u2013 im 20. Jahrhundert wiederentdeckten \u2013- wenigen bekannten alten Meisterinnen und eine der ersten in die Kunstgeschichtsschreibung eingegangenen Malerinnen (1593 \u2013 1653) war Sch\u00f6pferin kraftvoller heroischer Frauen der antiken und christlichen Mythologie. Ihr au\u00dfergew\u00f6hnliches, bewegtes Leben als Frau wie als Malerin machte sie zu einer Ber\u00fchmtheit jener Zeit. und ist besonders heute Thema von Filmen und B\u00fcchern. Gewaltdarstellungen reflektieren auch Gentileschis eigene Gewalterfahrung. Als Opfer sexuellen Missbrauchs im Alter von 16 Jahren brachten sie und ihr Vater, ganz un\u00fcblich damals, ihren Peiniger vor Gericht. Wiederentdeckte Protokolle dokumentieren, dass sie einen f\u00fcr die damalige Zeit bespiellosen, f\u00fcr sie grauenvollen und dem\u00fctigenden Prozess durchstehen musste.
