Es verbindet damit lokales k\u00fcnstlerisches Schaffen mit internationalen Trends und tr\u00e4gt zum Aufbau von Netzwerken bei und f\u00f6rdert den Austausch zwischen K\u00fcnstlern, Kuratoren, Sammlern und Ausstellungsbesuchern. PARALLEL VIENNA ist eine Mischung aus Kunstmesse, Ausstellungsplattform und K\u00fcnstleratelier. Es vereint Ausstellungen von kommerziellen Galerien (GALERIE STATEMENTS &#8211; jeweils mit einer Einzelpr\u00e4sentation eines K\u00fcnstlers), Off-Spaces und Kunstvereinen (PROJECT STATEMENTS &#8211; eine Einzel- oder Gruppenausstellung) und Einzelpr\u00e4sentationen ausgew\u00e4hlter K\u00fcnstler (ARTIST STATEMENTS oder k\u00fcnstlerische INTERVENTIONEN in das Geb\u00e4ude wurde direkt von PARALLEL VIENNA eingeladen). Statt der \u00fcblichen St\u00e4nde auf Kunstmessen nimmt jeder Aussteller einen separaten Raum des Geb\u00e4udes ein, in dem die Ausstellung pr\u00e4sentiert wird. Diese ortsspezifischen Kunstwerke und Interventionen sind das Markenzeichen von PARALLEL VIENNA und machen die Messe zu einem einzigartigen und alternativen Ausstellungsformat au\u00dferhalb des &#8220; white cube&#8220;.
