Dies best\u00e4tigte eine rasante einst\u00fcndige Auktion im randvollen Camineum der \u00d6sterreichischen Nationalbibliothek: Vor dieser imposanten Kulisse wechselten 13 Top-Mercedes-Benz der Sammlung der legend\u00e4ren Wiener Autoh\u00e4ndlerdynastie Wiesenthal f\u00fcr rund 5 Millionen Euro jeweils unter Szenenapplaus die Besitzer. Als begehrtestes Modell erwies sich erwartungsgem\u00e4\u00df der 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL, der &#8222;Fl\u00fcgelt\u00fcrer&#8220;, bei dem ein internationaler Telefonbieter mit 1.492.600 Euro erfolgreich blieb. Einen weiteren Millionenpreis, 1.123.000 Euro, gab es f\u00fcr den 1957 Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster. Der einzigartige 1964 Mercedes-Benz 600 Pullman \u2013 einzigartig, weil er als \u00f6sterreichische Staatslimousine gleich drei Bundespr\u00e4sidenten diente \u2013 sicherte sich ein Saalbieter f\u00fcr 383.800 Euro.
