Mai 2019, bei der Auktion im Dorotheum Linz realisiert werden. F\u00fcr 176.949 Euro wechselte das gro\u00dfformatige, vielfach ausgestellte, 1936 entstandene Bild \u201eJahrmarkt des Lebens\u201c den Besitzer.\u00a0Oskar Laske (1874-1951) gilt als einer der bedeutendsten Vertreter der \u00f6sterreichischen Zwischenkriegsmalerei und ist vor allem bekannt f\u00fcr seine vielfigurigen Aquarelle. Er war u. a. Mitglied des Hagenbundes und der Wiener Secession.\u00a0Die satirische Kompositoin des Gem\u00e4ldes malte Oskar Laske im Jahr 1936, die vermittelte kritische Botschaft ist hingegen noch nach \u00fcber 80 Jahren und wohl auch zeitlos ein aktuelles Thema: die K\u00e4uflichkeit in all ihren Dimensionen. Laske formuliert es in seiner Selbstbiographie so: &#8222;Man sieht die B\u00f6rse der Welt, die sorgf\u00e4ltig mit Verkaufsbuden bedeckt ist. Kauf und Verkauf von W\u00fcrden, \u00c4mtern, Ehrenzeichen, auch Kronen, von M\u00e4nnern, die Frauen kaufen und verhandeln, Frauen, die M\u00e4nner einhandeln, auch Kriegsger\u00e4t, dem N\u00e4chsten zum Verderb, f\u00fcr Geld ist alles zu haben &#8230; &#8222;.
