Jahrhundert \u00a9 Albertina, Peter Ertl\" src=\"http:\/\/www.kunstinvestor.at\/aktuell\/wp-content\/uploads\/1434527443620.jpg\" alt=\"1434527443620\" width=\"651\" height=\"393\" \/><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Der in Br\u00fcnn ans\u00e4ssige Rechtsanwalt Dr. Arthur Feldmann (1877-1941) begann in den 1920er Jahren mit dem Aufbau einer Zeichnungssammlung, die mit rund 800 Werken zu den bedeutendsten ihrer Zeit z\u00e4hlte. Nach Besetzung der Tschechoslowakei durch die Nationalsozialisten 1939 wurde die Br\u00fcnner Villa aufgrund der j\u00fcdischen Herkunft Feldmanns mitsamt der Kunstwerke beschlagnahmt. Den Arrest und die Folter im M\u00e4rz 1941 \u00fcberlebte er nur um kurze Zeit, seine Ehefrau wurde 1944 in Auschwitz ermordet.\u00a0Auf die Enteignung der Zeichnungssammlung folgten ihre Aufl\u00f6sung und Zerstreuung. Im Laufe der Jahre konnten die Nachfahren Feldmanns einen Teil der Sammlung durch akribische Recherchen aufsp\u00fcren und in oftmals langwierigen und m\u00fchevollen Auseinandersetzungen mit den Museen und staatlichen Institutionen ihre Restitution erwirken.
