Mit der Erfindung der Leica vor 100 Jahren brach in der Fotografie ein neues Zeitalter an, der Blick auf die AUGEN AUF Welt war von nun an ein anderer. Kompaktes Format, Hochleistungsobjektive, leise Mechanik sowie die innovative Verwendung von 35mm-Kinofilm erm\u00f6glichten flexibles, dynamisches Fotografieren, extreme Perspektiven und eine noch nie dagewesene Spontaneit\u00e4t. Die neue Schnelligkeit, Freiheit und Leichtigkeit bediente die Bed\u00fcrfnisse einer sich beschleunigenden Zeit und inspirierte FotografInnen weltweit zu einer experimentierfreudigen und zukunftsweisenden Bildsprache. Die Ausstellung AUGEN AUF! beleuchtet die Geschichte der Leica Fotografie von den Anf\u00e4ngen bis in unsere Tage. Zu sehen sind Meisterwerke international renommierter Fotografinnen und Fotografen, erg\u00e4nzt um ausgew\u00e4hlte Kameramodelle aus 100 Jahren Leica Technik. Nach Stationen in Hamburg, Frankfurt und Berlin kommt die Ausstellung nun nach \u00d6sterreich und wird in Wien \u00fcbergreifend vom Fotomuseum WestLicht und der Galerie OstLicht pr\u00e4sentiert, die zu den Hauptleihgebern der Schau geh\u00f6ren. Die Ausstellung vereint unter anderem Arbeiten von Alexander Rodtschenko, Ilse Bing, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Robert Capa, Christer Str\u00f6mholm, Bruce Davidson, Inge Morath, William Eggleston, Ren\u00e9 Burri, Susan Meiselas, Thomas Hoepker, Bruce Gilden und vielen weiteren.
